Thomas Parker - Architectural Designer
Thomas Parker is an architectural designer, fabricator and photographer who graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture, his interests lie in experimental architecture and spatial design, which he explores through the deployment of speculative devices and scenarios.
Thomas explores a range of mediums in his work, including 3D scanning, analogue and digital photography, creative coding, as well as fabrication and simulation modeling, all with a focus on learning through a process that aims to tease out a truer speculation around the intricacies of experimental architectural design.
Thomas has previously worked at ScanLAB Projects where he produced a series of documentaries as well as independent films with artists such as Anouk de Clercq and Keiichi Matsuda. Thomas has also delivering a series of sculptural and spatial experiences in collaborative installations with the likes of Ars Electronica and New Movement Collective.
Thomas studied fine art at UCA, and holds a MArch(part II), Distinction in architecture from the Bartlett School of architecture, UCL, where he was awarded a Bartlett Medal as well as the Fitzroy Robinson Drawing Prize and won the Serjeant Drawing Prize at the 2017 RIBA Presidents Medals. He also holds a BA(hons), First Class, in Architecture from the Canterbury School of Architecture.
